Hi, I'm William Choi-Kim (wck), a Korean-American student based in NJ/HTX.
I'm a college student @Princeton pursuing a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with minors in bioengineering and linguistics.
My interests lie in applying computational or engineered methods to real-world prpoblems in the fields of health, medicine, and longevitiy. I've published papers, including in F1000 (first-author), on computational oncology and biochemistry. Through Wolfram, I've served as a mentor on papers on those topics, as well as others ranging from linguistics to immunology to human neural networks. Forthcoming papers from Baylor College of Medicine and independent work.
I work at Wolfram in their education programs, including as a research mentor and as an Education Programs Coordinator. In the past, I've been a teaching assistant at WSRP'25, and a tutor at Kumon.
At Princeton, I am a founder-in-residence at Princeton Student Ventures, a board member of Passionfruit Magazine, and a volunteer with Community House.
I'm currently working on an interesting project at Princeton, and I publish apps at choi.kim on the side. In high school, I ran and built the tech infrastructure for Hwalgi, a publishing platform for global youth that garnered over a million annual readers. I created SmilesDB — a protein database — for my own research at Wolfram.
